Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, and those residing in assisted living or nursing home environments. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Support clients in meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Respect and uphold resident rights while providing care in a dignified manner.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Provide first aid as necessary and report any health concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and resident rights is essential.
- Familiarity with assisted living or home care practices is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform first aid procedures when required; certification is a plus.
- A caring attitude towards clients and a commitment to providing high-quality personal care services.
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team in various settings, including nursing homes and private residences.

Pay: $12.41 - $12.89 per hour
