Information Systems Analyst

Are you an IT professional experienced in the banking/credit union world? Do you enjoy using your technical skills to ensure a highly favorable end-user experience of core banking systems?

As an Information Systems Analyst, you will program and maintain our core banking system (Symitar) by Jack Henry Associates. You will monitor backups, set up daily jobs, ensure successful completion of jobs, and complete various projects to ensure that end-users have the most efficient experience.

Please note that this position is primarily remote, but the candidate must permanently reside in the Chicagoland area to attend training and occasionally work from one of our Chicagoland branches.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for maintenance of Core Banking System (Symitar) by Jack Henry Associates.
• Assist with daily, weekly, monthly jobs as needed.
• Responsible for 3rd party system integration within Symitar.
• Follow SDLC project delivery model.
• Compile requirements of projects by interviewing key stakeholders.
• Measure success of projects against business requirements.
• Ensure good design practices are followed for solutions and that the solutions are thoroughly tested prior to rollout.
• Implement best practices in efficient and user-friendly use of software applications.
• Remove complexity for end user by integrating software applications to work seamlessly.
• Provide solutions with user experience conscientiousness.
• Act as a backup for maintenance of our Loan Origination System (LOS) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Three years to five years of similar or related experience in various banking software maintenance.
• A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
• Programming languages & skills required: Symitar PowerOn.
• Database & reporting skills desired: Microsoft SQL.
Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills.

The budgeted compensation range for this position is $75,000-$85,000 per year (exempt). Individual rates vary based on skills and experience.
