Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. This role requires a blend of clinical knowledge and personal care skills, making it suitable for individuals with experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, clinics, or trauma centers.
Duties
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Assist with mobility and physical activities to promote health and wellness.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities to enhance emotional well-being.
- Document daily care activities and report any concerns or changes in client status to family members or healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related healthcare field is preferred.
- Knowledge of care practices associated with hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient services, or trauma care is advantageous.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties including lifting and transferring clients.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others maintain their independence.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus but not mandatory upon hiring.
