What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Analyst position at Nura?
NURA is seeking a Quality Analyst to help our growing team by collecting samples or inventory using standard operating procedures. Primary responsibilities will be inspecting and testing raw materials to meet our quality standards to include maintaining our lab equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality. Other key responsibilities are listed below. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and tact and reacts well under pressure. Must adapt to changing work environments and able to deal with frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare raw material samples for testing by following standard operating procedures for sample collection.
- Inspect and test raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Perform various physical testing and analyses on raw material, including but not limited to: FTIR, Bulk and Tapped Density, Particle Size, and Organoleptic analysis.
- Prepare and send samples to external labs, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to submission guidelines.
- Track and manage the status of third-party testing, including timelines, costs, and results.
- Oversee the preparation and handling of samples for third party testing, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Ensure that samples meet all criteria including but not limited to test method before being dispatched for outsource testing.
- Document and maintain testing results accurately.
- Review and interpret internal and third-party data against technical data, specifications, and/or related quality documents to maintain product quality and accelerate material qualification process.
- Identify and report deviations from quality standards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures for quality control processes.
- Assist in the development and validation of new test methods and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum Associates degree (required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Previous work experience in GMP regulated manufacturing facility, or laboratory preferred.
- High attention to detail, and meticulous adherence to hygienic practices a must.
- Efficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel a must.
- Ethics: Treats people with respect and upholds organizational values.
