General Overview
We are assembling a passionate team to lead and serve the guests of Nuri Steakhouse, an exciting new Dallas-based steakhouse with Asian influences. Our mission is to inspire people to embrace the diverse cultures of the world, and to play a vital role in connecting our communities through these rich cultural experiences.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender to join our vibrant team. As a Bartender, your role is all about spreading positivity through friendly interactions with our guests. You'll prepare drinks and serve food with accuracy while keeping up a warm and efficient atmosphere. Being a team player is key, as you'll need to work closely with the kitchen staff, serve guests with a smile, and communicate professionally with your co-workers. Great communication skills, along with a knack for providing knowledgeable and gracious service, are essential in this role. Can't wait to see you bring your friendly personality to our team!

Essential Functions
- Prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests.
- Interact with guests, take orders, and serve snacks and drinks.
- Assess guests’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
- Plan and present bar menu.
- Kindly request guests to present a valid form of identification and verify that it meets the legal drinking age.
- Check guests’ identification and confirm they meet the legal drinking age.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
- Stay guest-focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and laws including health and safety standards.
Major Responsibilities / Specific Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving guests.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of menu times and food preparation techniques is a plus but not required.
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests.
- Ability to learn cash register software used by bars or restaurants.
- Promote the culture, values, and mission of Restaurant K.
Education and Experience Requirements
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Minimum of two (2) years working experience as a bartender.
- Must possess a current Texas Food Handler's Certification and TABC before starting work.
- Completion of mixology, barkeeping, or other related training is a plus but not required.
- One year of related experience preferred, but not required.
- To inspire people to embrace different cultures of the world.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift 30 pounds.
- Must have the stamina to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Must be able to stand for periods of up to eight (8) hours.
- Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at a time. Required to use assistance when available i.e. hand trucks, ramps, or another team member.
