We’ve partnered with some of the world’s most respected brands including Uber, FedEx, Domino’s, Walmart, Kroger, and 7-Eleven.About the RoleWe’re looking for a generalist software engineer that can support the development, bring-up, and integration of Autonomous Vehicle sensors in support of launching our next generation sensor platform. In this role, the candidate needs to be able to understand the data a sensor provides, correlate that to the internal sensor hardware and software performance, and then develop data pipelines to be able to work with or hand off the sensor data. The ideal candidate has a distinct knowledge of optical sensors operation and function.About the WorkDevelop and modify sensor driver software to provide data to the Autonomy stackOwn sensor data analysis pipelines to provide early signal of out of spec performanceCoordinate with partner teams to support the integration and debug of our next gen sensing platformWork closely with teammates to support bench and lab level testing of new sensing technologiesTroubleshoot and root cause sensor performance issues on bench and on carCoordinate with vendors to root cause sensor hardware and software issuesAbout You3 years of experience working on driver-level software, preferably related to sensing technologiesAbility to read and write Python codeAbility to read and write C codeWorking knowledge of Lidar, Camera, or Image Processing operational principlesStrong technical communication skillsB.S. / M.S Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or other relevant technical areaBonus PointsExperience in the Autonomous Vehicle or robotics spaceExperience with vendor point cloud visualization toolsAt Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $125,400 - $188,100 / year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
