Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care for individuals in their own homes. This role is ideal for those with a background with geriatrics, or related fields who are passionate about enhancing the quality of life for our clients. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure safety and comfort.
- Assist with medication reminders for prescribed medicationms and monitor health conditions.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in health status.
- Document daily activities and any significant observations related to the client's health.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine practices is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of geriatrics and the specific needs of elderly clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Must have own vehicle and driver's license.
- May be asked to transport client to doctor's appointments or run errands.
