Following a period of informative training, and within a timeframe of 9 months to a year, you will become involved in the lives of at least 25 to 30 women at the beginning of their pregnancies, and remain in their lives until their baby reaches the age of 2. You will be encouraged to seek professional development related to relationship building, child health and development, and different ways to help a mom set goals and reach her potential at her own pace. Your schedule will be flexible, allowing ample time to reach out to potential clients, schedule and attend visits, attend professional development, and enter data as it relates to the client’s stage in the program. You will have opportunities to reflect on your nursing practice during a weekly meeting with your supervisor.
