Nurse Family Partnership nurses provide home visiting services and work with their clients to improve pregnancy outcomes, improve child health and development and improve the economic self-sufficiency of the family. To become a Nurse Family Partnership nurse, the applicant must meet the following qualifications:
Applicant must have Maternal-Child experience and meet one of the following requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing with three years of nursing experience. Maternal/Child health experience preferred. Possession of a current/non-restricted Louisiana nursing license. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred. CPR certification required or must be willing to obtain certification.
Job Concepts:
The incumbent will function in the role of a nurse home visitor in the Nurse Family Partnership Program under contract with the Franklin Medical Center. This position is responsible for procurement, coordination, and management of a caseload of first time pregnant women, and meeting productivity standards as outlined by the Louisiana Nurse Family Partnership Program.
