Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) - Per Diem
Location: 9333 Imperial Highway, Downey, CA 90242
Shift: 7:15p-7:45a
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years required
- Shift Commitment: Must be willing to pick up at least 2 shifts per week
- Experience Level: Level 3 experience required
- Held every Monday
- Includes one unit shift in the same week
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care to neonates in the NICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and manage medical equipment necessary for the treatment of critically ill infants.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including venipuncture and injections.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Educate families on infant care practices, discharge planning, and available resources.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a NICU or pediatric setting is preferred but not required; strong clinical skills in primary care are essential.
- Proficiency in patient care techniques, including experience administering injections and performing venipuncture.
- Familiarity with medical imaging processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining medical records.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $100.00 - $105.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
