Title: RN Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Oakland, CA
Schedule: 3days a week, 12hours/day, 36hours/week
Shift times: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM,07:00 PM to 07:30 AM
Pay: $85/hour
Duration: 13weeks assignment with the possibility of extension
Requirements:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of experience as RN
- BLS, ACLS and NIH certifications
- Active CA RN State License
Duties:
- Provides direct patient care to individuals with medical and surgical conditions, monitoring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assess patients' health status, administer medications, and ensure that patients are stable and safe during their hospital stay.
- Interpret telemetry readings, recognizing abnormal rhythms or changes in heart rate, and notify the healthcare team of any concerning findings.
- Assist in diagnostic tests and provide education to patients and families on managing their health after discharge.
- Document patient progress, assist with procedures, and help with routine care, including wound care and hygiene.
- Requires effective communication skills to coordinate care and advocate for patients' needs.
