We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. This role involves traveling to various locations, including patient homes, healthcare facilities, and retirement facilities, to collect blood samples for medical testing. The ideal candidate will have excellent venipuncture skills, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned locations to perform blood draws and specimen collection.
- Verify patient identity and medical information before specimen collection.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and transportation of specimens to designated laboratories.
- Maintain accurate records of collections, patient interactions, and any incidents.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including infection control measures.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure patient comfort during the procedure.
- Maintain phlebotomy supplies and equipment in a clean and organized manner.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and laboratory staff.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; phlebotomy certification required.
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (varies by state).
- Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a mobile or home health setting.
- Strong venipuncture skills with the ability to draw blood from diverse patient populations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
