As a Primary Care Physician, you'll provide comprehensive geriatric care, diagnose and treat illnesses, and ensure top patient care. You'll also review and recommend improvements to medical procedures to boost service quality and profitability.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate degree (M.D. or D.O.)
- Valid Medical Doctor (MD) license in North Carolina (NC) / South Carolina (SC)
- Experience in Value-Based Care
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Independently perform complete history and physical exams, interpret data, and formulate appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate treatments, both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic.
- Collaborate with, educate, and supervise Advance Practice Providers to manage patients' acute and long-term medical needs.
- Accurately and efficiently maintain and review patient records and charts.
- Educate patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Exercise autonomy in medical decision-making, providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in primary care for geriatrics and senior living communities.
- Familiarity with medical policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Competence in developing and maintaining medical quality assurance and control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
Experience:
- Experience with geriatrics in primary and post-acute care settings, including Senior Living, SNF, IPR, and LTACH (preferred but not required).
- Experience or passion for value-based care.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation and billing.
- Positive attitude, passion for quality care, and a team-first approach.
License/Certification:
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in North Carolina or South Carolina
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current DPS and DEA certificates (or in progress)
