Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Ensure patient safety by lifting and transferring individuals as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment for patient care.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic for documentation purposes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient service.
Requirements
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and comfortably.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles, particularly in geriatrics settings.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Experience in home care or outpatient environments is a plus.
