Job Description:
- Assists the pathologists in the cutting of surgical, frozen
sections, and possibly autopsies.
- May serve as the back-up morgue assistant in the absence
of the contract diener.
- Responsible for grossing tissue specimens, accessioning
them into the computer system, embedding, cutting, staining
and cover-slipping tissue. Also prepares special stains for
tissue per request of pathologists.
- Collect and document pertinent data into the electronic patient/resident medical record.
