RN Telemetry I - Christus St. Michael

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Night Shift)
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Location: CHRISTUS St. Michael
Contract Type: Travel Nurse
Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) to deliver exceptional patient care in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Manage patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in alignment with professional nursing practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Ensure timely reassessment of patient care needs and progress.
• Demonstrate leadership and self-management in providing patient care and supporting the team.

Job Requirements:
Education/Skills:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred but not required.

Experience:

• At least 1 year of experience in Telemetry nursing or a similar clinical setting is preferred.
• Experience working independently in a high-acuity environment.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

• RN License in the state of employment or compact state.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required (American Heart Association).
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required (American Heart Association).

Work Schedule:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Must be available for full-time work during this shift.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive travel nurse compensation- Travel Stipend applicable for candidates outside of a 50-mile radius of the hosptial.
