Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Clinic setting. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care while ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Prior nursing experience is required. Orthopedic/Surgery experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Gather and enter patient history and chief complaint into electronic medical record.
- Perform nursing procedures by assisting physician in rooms, drawing up injectable medications, applying splints, casts and braces.
- Schedule surgery, providing patient education regarding diagnosis and plan of care.
- Answer/address nursing calls.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and care plans.
- Collaborate with Front Reception, Billing, X-ray and Physical Therapy.
- Assist with in-office procedures and acute trauma related injuries.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Modernizing Medicine software.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Previous Nursing experience required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion for patients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in nursing care.
