Certification Details BLS ACLS Job Details Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Coordinates patients care through collaboration with the patient / family and healthcare team. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Job Requirements At least two (2) years current experience required in specialty. Must have completed at least one 13-week previous travel assignment. BLS and ACLS certification required and must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Schedule Information 12-hour Night Shift; start time 1900. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required, per staff rotation. Unit Specific Information Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. Additional Details NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS. Travelers must not have been an employee of the Presbyterian Healthcare Services system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position. State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice.
