Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address mental health issues and promote emotional well-being.
- Provide crisis intervention services to clients in need of immediate support.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on client assessments and therapeutic goals.
- Offer counseling on gender issues, grief, autism, and disabilities to enhance client understanding and coping strategies.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions that encourage peer support and shared experiences.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Valid state licensure as a professional counselor or therapist is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, disabilities, or pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and direct support practices.
- Strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to behavioral health treatment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
