Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and oversee programs aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
- Manage multiple cost centers to ensure optimal staffing, revenue generation, and expenditure control.
- Implement and maintain compliance with care standards to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
- Evaluate procedural changes and provide advisory support to enhance care delivery.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for nursing professionals.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program AND a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or BSN.
- Preferred: Master’s degree (MSN or a related field).
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid and active RN license in Texas (or eligibility for licensure).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Any additional certifications required for staff nurses in managed areas.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in progressive management roles within a hospital environment (e.g., manager or full-time charge nurse).
- At least 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead, mediate, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
Additional Information:
This role requires compliance with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of the workforce. If offered the position, you must show proof of full vaccination or obtain approval for a religious or medical exemption before your start date. If exempt, you will be required to undergo regular testing in accordance with the law.
