About the Role:
As the Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and effective nursing care. This position requires a strong operational leader with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing practices across multiple units. The role assumes 24/7 responsibility for assigned areas, ensuring nursing staff competency and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate nursing operations across multiple units.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient care quality.
- Support and mentor nursing teams, fostering professional growth.
- Manage nursing resources efficiently to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Licensure: Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Education:
- Required: Associate degree in nursing (ADN) and a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field OR a BSN.
- Preferred: Master’s degree (MSN or MHA).
- Experience:
- Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting.
- 5 years of Emergency Room (ER) experience.
- Certifications: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law, including CPR certification.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and operational management skills.
