Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Echocardiographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms on patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret echocardiogram results and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures, utilizing aseptic techniques as required.
- Monitor vital signs throughout the procedure and respond to any changes in patient condition.
- Document all findings accurately in the patient's medical record, adhering to established protocols.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies.
- Assist in the lab as needed, supporting various diagnostic evaluations related to cardiology.
Qualifications
- Certification as an Echocardiographer or equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to cardiac function.
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and emergency medicine protocols is preferred.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similar environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and understanding of radiology principles are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate patient records.
