Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Aseptic Technique: Proficiency in maintaining sterile environments to prevent infections during post-operative care.
- IV Insertion: Experience in performing intravenous access to ensure timely medication and fluid administration.
- EKG Interpretation: Ability to analyze cardiac rhythms and promptly act on any abnormalities detected.
- Medication Administration: Knowledge of medication protocols, including chemotherapy and blood transfusions, with a focus on safety and efficacy.
- Emergency Medicine: Experience in managing critical situations, employing effective emergency procedures when necessary.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Allscripts, Athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks.
- Phlebotomy: Capable of performing blood draws for laboratory tests as needed.
- Catheter Care & Ostomy Care: Competence in managing urinary catheters and stomas with a compassionate approach to patient comfort.
- Critical Care Experience: Background in critical and intensive care environments, ensuring preparedness for complex patient needs.
- Telemetry Skills: Proficient in monitoring patients' vital signs and understanding telemetry data to assess cardiac conditions.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with healthcare technology solutions like Axxess Software and Kinnser is a plus.
- Previous work in Ob/Gyn and familiarity with consulting project data gathering are advantageous.
- Strong decision-making abilities combined with a commitment to patient-centered care and safety.
