About the Role:
Join our team as a Safety Coordinator dedicated to maintaining high safety standards in a heavy civil construction environment. You will oversee incident analysis, support safety programs, and guide managers in fostering an inclusive and safe workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough incident analyses and provide recommendations for risk reduction.
- Organize and maintain safety documentation and records related to injuries and claims.
- Serve as a liaison with agencies such as MSHA and OSHA.
- Assist management in implementing Coaching Action Plans to correct at-risk behaviors.
- Promote a learning culture by coordinating Event Learning Teams.
- Support the implementation of Human Performance-related programs.
- Provide technical guidance on industrial hygiene practices.
- Collaborate with employees involved in incidents to ensure resolution and prevention actions.
- Monitor and report on company safety results.
- Develop impactful communication strategies for the distribution of safety best practices.
- Procure safety equipment and training materials within budget constraints.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance while contributing to an inclusive work environment.
Work Environment:
- Office: 10% - 20%, Field: 80% - 90%
- Exposure to outdoor weather, moving machinery, and frequent driving for site visits.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, or push/pull up to 50lbs.
- Comfort with crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching.
- Clear vision abilities for close and distance tasks.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to pass pre-employment controlled substance testing.
Preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience managing safety programs in a heavy civil construction environment.
- Safety certifications (ASP, CHST, OSHA 510/500, etc.)
Compensation & Benefits:
