We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Surgery Center Administrator (with an RN) for our Endoscopy Center in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a key leadership role overseeing the operations of the Endoscopy Center and Physician Practice.
The ideal candidate will be an RN with a strong background in Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership or hospital surgical leadership with ASC experience. Key Responsibilities:
Facility Operations:
- Oversee the daily operation of the Endoscopy Center, ensuring efficient surgical services that exceed customer expectations.
- Lead discussions during monthly operations review calls with the home office team.
- Act as a liaison between the Governing Board, Medical Staff, and all departments of the facility.
- Implement operational processes and ensure integration within the facility’s Quality Performance Improvement (QPI) program.
Business & Financial Management:
- Develop, manage, and control staffing needs, budgets, and purchasing plans.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies.
- Negotiate external contracts and pricing for services based on cost analysis and market standards.
- Closely monitor financial performance and cash flow to avoid discrepancies.
Personnel Administration:
- Lead and manage both exempt and non-exempt staff, ensuring performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and hiring decisions are aligned with the facility’s policies.
- Conduct monthly staff meetings and foster positive relationships among all departments.
- Drive productivity and efficiency using productivity tracking tools, adjusting workforce levels as needed.
Clinical Services:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards in all surgical and clinical services.
- Supervise the clinical departments (nursing, central supply, medical records, etc.), and monitor surgical equipment maintenance and patient care equipment functionality.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and Medical Executive Committee to evaluate and improve surgical services.
Quality Improvement:
- Implement and oversee a continuous quality improvement program, ensuring high-quality care standards.
- Lead the infection control program and contribute to medical staff reviews on the quality improvement program.
Medical Staff Relationships:
- Manage credentialing of practitioners and assist with the Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations.
- Foster positive collaboration between medical staff and the facility.
Public Relations & Marketing:
- Develop and implement a marketing plan, fostering positive public relations and increasing community engagement.
- Identify new services and opportunities for growth and improvement in ambulatory surgery.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary - USD $110,000 to $135,000
- Full-time Position
- Benefits: Full benefits package, including health insurance, dental, and vision coverage.
- Relocation Assistance Available for qualified candidates moving to Hilo, HI.
