The Position: We’re looking for a Salon and Spa Manager

Responsibilities

• Uphold the Nurtur Core Values and Behaviors and Aveda Success Factors
• Demonstrate a strong understanding that the salon/spa industry is “high touch” and requires strong interpersonal skills and attention to the needs of others
• Serve as a role model by exemplifying professionalism, integrity, and positivity, while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Maintain a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and motivation
• Work with marketing team to implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
• Drive salon sales by implementing effective promotions, service offerings, and customer loyalty programs
• Lead the team in maximizing retail sales by coaching staff on product knowledge and upselling techniques
• Analyze financial reports to monitor salon performance and identify areas for improvement
• Assist in initiatives related to developing coaching materials to drive sales
• Ensure the salon operates efficiently and meets its performance goals
• Sustain a welcoming, well-maintained, and environmentally conscious salon space
• Interview, hire, and train team members in procedures, policies, and expectations
• Resolve customer complaints and challenges, and provide solutions for team disputes
• Provide ongoing recognition, support, and motivation to salon team members
• Engage with clients to ensure exceptional experiences and address any concerns
• Maintain all safety, security, and technological standards and identify and communicate potential problems, issues, and challenges to Leadership immediately
• Participate in Aveda and Nurtur events including career fairs, marketing events, Earth Month, Beauty for a Cure, etc.
• Perform all duties as assigned and/or required to meet business needs
• Abide by all other Nurtur policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Member Handbook and Code of Conduct
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ohio State Board of Cosmetology license preferred but not required
• 5 years of continuous retail and/or salon or spa experience preferred
• Management and training experience highly preferred
• Exhibit time management, organization, self-direction, initiative, resourcefulness, and follow-through with the ability to work at a fast pace and handle multiple tasks and projects at the same time
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Eagerness to learn and grow in this position
• Demonstrate extreme professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong commitment to customer service excellence and to the Company’s mission and vision
  
  

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• The team member in this position will be expected to work remotely. A computer, printer, and phone will be provided to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions
• Ability to stand for up to eight (8) hours per day.
• Use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms.
• Walk, sit, stand, balance, stoop, speak, and hear.
• See a computer screen and read paper and electronic documents.

Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel locally to events and for out-of-state training as necessary.
