The Home Care Aide at Nurturing By Faith Home Care provides compassionate, reliable, and personalized care to clients in their homes. This role is essential in supporting individuals with daily activities, promoting their well-being, and enhancing their quality of life. As a Home Care Aide, you will work with clients of various needs, including Alzheimer's, dementia, physical disabilities, and chronic health conditions, ensuring comfort and maintaining independence in their familiar surroundings.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide Daily Living Assistance: Help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Companionship and Engagement: Engage clients in social activities and meaningful conversations to promote emotional well-being and reduce isolation.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and errands to support a safe and organized home environment.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescribed medication on time, ensuring adherence to health care plans.
- Safety and Health Monitoring: Observe and report any changes in the client’s health status or environment to supervisors promptly.
- Personalized Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care: Follow specialized training to provide care for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia, focusing on promoting a calming and supportive atmosphere.
- Respite Care Support: Provide short-term relief for family caregivers by taking over caregiving duties to allow them rest.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of care provided, including tasks completed, observations, and any changes in client health or behavior.
Skills and Qualifications:
