Assistant Director of Nursing

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to join our healthcare team. Additionally, you will play a key role in staff development, including training and mentoring new nurses. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the nursing department.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for nursing staff.
  • Mentor and support new nurses.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor and manage nursing department budgets.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of nursing policies and procedures.
  • Address and resolve patient and family concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and manage scheduling.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide updates on departmental goals.
  • Assist in the recruitment and hiring of nursing staff.
  • Promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and healthcare technology.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of medical equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Experience in staff development and training.
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
  • Strong understanding of quality improvement processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
