We are seeking an experienced landscape professional to join our Maintenance Department as a Team Lead. This position oversees the team members while onsite and leads them in maintaining our clients exceptional landscapes on a day to day basis. Responsibilities:
- Makes exceptional landscapes THRIVE by managing the maintenance team members and working alongside them to implement the scheduled activities and services for each site.
- Works with Maintenance Project Managers to ensure daily tasks for each site are completed and planning for future gardening tasks.
- Leads a small group of Maintenance Team Members on daily client routes.
- Builds a wealth of knowledge about each landscape and works with Maintenance Project Managers to ensure the landscape is maintained to the clients expectations.
- Mentors and trains team for skill development and increased responsibility.
- Proactively establishes and supports a positive commitment to safety.
- Communicates confidently to clients and answers questions or escorts them to the right resource.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a landscape professional. A horticulture or landscape related degree a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience leading teams successfully.
- Strong plant ID knowledge specific to the Pacific Northwest plant palate.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Bi-lingual English and Spanish speaking a plus.
- Basic irrigation knowledge a plus.
- Committed to Organic Maintenance practices.
- Ability to show working knowledge of tools/equipment/practices etc.
- Good physical condition and endurance; able to lift 40lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to utilize technology daily for time cards, tasks lists, and purchases.
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
- Valid WA driver license.
