We’re seeking a Trailer Technician to join our maintenance shop in Hudson, Illinois! (Just up the road from Bloomington-Normal). In this role, you’ll perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet equipment (primarily trailers). Our ideal candidate has a safety-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and has either a Diesel Technician Degree or 1 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include:

• Complete repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Nussbaum shop and warranty standards.
• Maintain fleet equipment via Preventative Maintenance.
• Significant amount of electrical diagnostics/troubleshooting.
• Diagnose/repair brakes, wheel-ends, A/C, and suspensions.
• Light to heavy body repair.
• Install and service third-party equipment add-ons.
• Accurately log work within our maintenance software.
• Document diagnostic steps and corrective actions implemented.
• Be willing to continually learn as equipment technologies change.

Schedule

• Full-time Positions
• Shift A: Sunday - Wednesday, 2pm - 12:30am
• Shift B: Tuesday - Friday, 2pm - 12:30am
• Differential in place for 2nd shift
• Location: Corporate Offices – 19336 N. 1425 East Rd., Hudson, IL 61748

Qualifications (preferred)

• Brake and DOT Certifications.
• Welding certificate or 6mos experience.
• 1 – 2 years of mechanical experience OR a diesel technician degree (or closely related field)
• Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.
• Basic toolkit and toolbox.
• Working knowledge of diesel equipment maintenance and repair.
• Basic typing and computer skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Able to navigate resource materials and schematics online.
