What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Lead position at Nutek Disposables, Inc.?
Purpose and role of job:
Leads maintenance efforts for the platform and drives improvement to machine health. Directs and trains all maintenance technicians engaged in the daily maintenance and up-keep of the machinery and or equipment. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and adjusting all mechanical equipment, machinery and components.
Principal Accountabilities/ Responsibilities:
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times.
- Follows necessary GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
- Oversees the repair of all mechanical components of all equipment as required.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes mechanical and operational issues on all equipment to and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
- Operates all machines so that maintenance, changeovers, and adjustments can be tested when complete.
- Assists in the scheduling and planning of all corrective/preventive maintenance, lubrication, changeovers, and engineering trials on all equipment.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Coordinates preventive/predictive maintenance checks and inspections of assigned equipment and takes corrective action promptly.
- Shares knowledge and techniques with team members and assists with training.
- Assists supervisor with all performance appraisals as required.
- Attends all training seminars provided by the company when applicable.
- Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely fashion.
- Shares on call responsibilities as needed.
- Provides coverage for vacations and absences as needed.
- Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so.
Education and experience requirements:
- Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
- Highly advanced or specialized mechanical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
- Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Highly advanced or specialized knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.
- Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to lead others through example, coaching, and development.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of industrial experience or equivalent.
- Any technical or vocational school training relating to mechanics is preferred.
