The Data Scientist is responsible for providing conceptual insights, problem structuring, modeling, and other analytic support to the Brand Activation and Engagement team. They report to the Manager of Data & Analytics of Brand Activation and Engagement and will work closely with other teams within Marketing to drive informed strategic decision-making.
What you will do:
Integrating data sources, systems, and reports (e.g., pricing, CRM, sales data)
Improving data availability by acting as a liaison between Marketing Services and IT teams
Work with business leaders to outline and architect solutions to scalable POCS
Creating and modifying computer programs to extract information from company databases
Analyzing data through programming languages (SQL, Python) and working with the team to develop scalable reporting systems (e.g., Power BI) to provide insights into real-time commercial performance as well as weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
Collaborating with business and internal stakeholders to translate complex functional and technical requirements and validation criteria into user-friendly tools for the sales and marketing teams
Manage and maintain models, as well as other statistically driven solutions
Providing insight to data architecture needs and stop-gap support to enable meaningful work.
Provide mentorship to junior members of the team as well as serving as a lead developer.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, statistics, data science, mathematics, economics field; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
5 years of related experience required, preferably with data analysis and preparation, including experience with very large data sets (requiring big-data techniques), and sparse or poor-quality (requiring data engineering)
A strong understanding of modern statistical practices including but not limited to hypothesis testing, experimental design, basic modeling techniques, etc.
Experience using cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure) preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $91,000-$126,000. This range is estimated for Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.
