Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance per the company Preventative Maintenance requirements
- Perform routine maintenance on refrigeration systems, including cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, replacing filters, and preventative maintenance
- Test systems for operations
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Conduct DOT/ Annual Inspections
- Complete Trailer and Truck PM’s and repairs
- Replace tire and wheels
- Complete documentation of all repairs and work performed
- Keep track of inventory
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Monday-Friday
- Every other Saturday or Sunday as needed
- Overtime available
- On call
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic, 2 years
- Preferred experience in transport refrigeration systems
- Able to repair basic refrigeration, fuel systems, electrical systems, microprocessors, cooling systems and general maintenance.
- Be diverse and willing to learn and handle other mechanical jobs within the company
- Must provide own hand tools
- Specialty tools will be provided as needed
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility with schedule as workloads change
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
