Nutrition Braved, LLC offers nutrition counseling for patients with eating disorders, chronic dieting, emotional eating, and disordered eating. We strive to be a source of support along the journey to a healthier relationship with food, honoring each individual's unique experience and providing judgment-free guidance.
Role: Outpatient Dietitian
This is a full-time hybrid role for an outpatient Dietitian at Nutrition Braved, LLC. In this role you will be responsible for providing nutrition counseling to patients with a variety of disordered eating-related concerns. This includes conducting individual sessions and collaborating with other members of a patient's multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
While the role is primarily located in Northbrook, IL, there is flexibility for some remote days each week.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)
- Experience in providing nutrition counseling and understanding of individualized treatment for eating disorders
- Alignment with Nutrition Braved's core values around inclusive care; including LGBTQIA affirming care, anti-racism training and HAES aligned care
- Knowledge of eating disorders, chronic dieting, emotional eating, and disordered eating
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of cultural and social factors impact a relationship with food
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct individual nutrition counseling both on-site and virtually
- Participate in weekly team collaboration meetings and trainings
- Maintain full-time availability to hold an average of 22 occurred patient sessions per week
- Collaborate with patient’s treatment team as necessary
- Comply with standardization of care and employee practices/expectations around patient follow-ups, notes, collaboration of care, etc.
- Complete state and federal continuing education requirements and training
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian Licensed in the State of Illinois
- 2 years eating disorder nutrition counseling experience post licensure
- 1 years higher level of care eating disorder experience
- Desire in growing in a collaborative environment
- Understanding of Intuitive Eating and HAES principles
- Strong nutrition counseling skills practicing from a weight-inclusive lens
- Excellent time management skills
