About this Role:


The sales specialist will cover Health Plan and Payer Sales Representative for Home Delivered Medically Tailored Meals, to join our growing sales team. This role will focus on developing new business relationships with health plans, MCOs, AAAs and managed care organizations, as well as expanding existing partnerships for our Reimbursed Meals. The ideal candidate will have experience with reimbursed meals, and/or a proven track record in health plan or payer sales, with a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape . They will play a key role in positioning Nutrition for Longevity’s meal plans as essential components of preventive care and providing meals to the community.


Key Responsibilities


Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth and expand Nutrition for Longevity’s presence within the health plan and payer verticals for both Medicare & Medicaid plans.

Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers at health plans, payers, and managed care organizations, including executives, claims managers, network managers, and client managers.

Pipeline Management: Proactively manage a sales pipeline of prospective health plan and payer clients, tracking progress.

Value Proposition Articulation: Communicate Nutrition for Longevity Health’s value proposition effectively to prospective clients, emphasizing the health, financial, and engagement benefits of our meal delivery programs.

Collaborative Partnering: Work closely with internal teams, to ensure alignment on messaging and client needs.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis: Stay aware of developments in the reimbursed meals & payer markets, including emerging trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes. Use insights to refine sales strategies and position Nutrition for Longevity as a leader in the field.

Contract Negotiations & Compliance: Lead negotiations for client agreements, ensuring adherence to compliance standards and establishing terms that align with Nutrition for Longevity’s growth objectives.

Revenue & Growth Goals: Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, contributing directly to Nutrition for Longevity’s growth in the health plan and payer segments.


Qualifications


Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the health plan, payer, or managed care sectors, preferably with a focus on health solutions or meal delivery services.

Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of health plan operations, reimbursement processes, and value-based care. Familiarity with nutrition and meal delivery services.

Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a complex sales environment, with experience in closing multi-year contracts and managing extended sales cycles.

Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with l decision-makers in the health plan and payer ecosystem, along with care managers, nutrition & value based care teams.

Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver compelling presentations to diverse audiences.

Problem Solving: Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to navigate challenges and work collaboratively with clients to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.

Travel: Ability to travel for client meetings & conferences.
