What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Document Control Specialist position at Nutrition Formulators Inc?
Nutrition Formulators, Inc is searching for a QA Document Specialist who will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, management, and maintenance of the document management system in accordance with the Quality System and relevant regulatory requirements. This position is also responsible for training staff on document control processes and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Document control specialists should have the ability to prioritize, manage time well, multitask and troubleshoot. Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills are also essential because document control specialists regularly communicate with internal and external business partners. They must be computer-savvy and well-versed in Microsoft Office products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect, maintain and distribute all documents necessary to define product configuration and control manufacturing processes that insure conformance to cGMP, NFI SOP, and customer requirements. Develop and maintain a comprehensive filing system and computer database for all documents to be retained in the document control center. Manage the operation of the document control center to ensure that all users have the latest revision of appropriate documentation in a timely manner. These specialists help companies adhere to record retention policies, safeguard information and retrieve data more effectively
SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIES:
Collect and maintain files of the latest revision level documentation necessary to define product configuration.
· Timely distribution of latest revision level documentation, and ensure that obsolete documentation is removed from distribution.
· Maintain a computer database of all filed documentation that ensures fast retrieval of documents.
· Revise SOPs to include the latest practices and / or comply with new regulations.
· Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.
· Review and approve executed batch records.
· Assist with other QA functions such as Customer Complaints, Change Control, Deviation Report, Non-conformances, Investigations, etc.
· Perform other duties as defined in division document control policies and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
