About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Food Service/Culinary Director to lead the dining program at our Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This role requires a strong culinary and hospitality leadership background, along with experience in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing food services in independent living, enhanced living, and skilled nursing settings, ensuring exceptional dining experiences that promote quality, nutrition, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all food service operations for independent living, enhanced living, and skilled nursing residents, ensuring high-quality meals and exceptional hospitality.
- Lead and develop a team of managers, chefs, and food service staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare dietary regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and department managers to align food service programs with community goals.
- Design and implement menu offerings that meet nutritional needs while enhancing resident satisfaction.
- Drive staff training and development, creating a high-performing team with a hospitality-first mindset.
- Oversee budgeting, purchasing, and inventory management to optimize efficiency and financial sustainability.
- Lead special events, catering, and community dining initiatives to elevate the resident and guest experience.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a personalized and welcoming dining environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in culinary and hospitality management (preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or hospitality setting).
- Strong understanding of healthcare dietary requirements and food safety regulations.
- Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Experience managing budgets, food costs, and operational efficiency.
- Passion for delivering exceptional hospitality and resident-centered service.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), ServSafe Certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
