Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Diet Technician to join our team. This role involves providing nutrition-related support at two locations in the Gettysburg, PA area. The ideal candidate will assist in dietary planning, implementation, and monitoring to ensure quality nutritional care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in assessing and documenting patients' dietary needs based on nutritional guidelines and recommendations.
- Support menu planning and implementation of therapeutic diets in collaboration with registered dietitians.
- Conduct nutrition education sessions as needed, providing resources to patients or clients.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' food intake, identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all dietary standards and regulations.
- Provide nutrition support services at both assigned locations, coordinating effectively with team members at each site.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Dietetics, Food Service Management, or related field preferred.
- Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) credential preferred, or eligibility to sit for the DTR exam.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or other healthcare setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets, nutritional needs, and food safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
