The job of Delivery Driver - Nutrition Services is done for the purpose/s of transporting food and supplies to designated sites on scheduled routes, maintaining vehicle in safe operating condition; assisting nutrition service personnel in the preparation of meals for transport to school sites; performing a wide variety of warehousing duties; loading and unloading orders; stocking inventory; transporting orders of equipment, materials, and supplies required for instructional and support functions throughout the District and maintaining scheduled and on-demand routes.
This job reports to the Nutrition Services Field Supervisor
- Essential functions include: cleans Warehouse; drives vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.)
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks; loads carts of food items; maintains vehicles (e.g. cleaning, inspecting, fueling, oil, tire pressure, etc.)
- Participates in physical inventories; receives food and nonfood items at Central Kitchen/Warehouse; responds to inquiries of staff and vendors; stocks food items, equipment, materials and supplies; stocks food items, equipment, materials and supplies Transports a variety of food related items (e.g. produce, condiments, kitchen supplies and equipment, etc.)
- Transports food carts required for the provision of meals and other food items (e.g. hot and cold food carts, packaged and perishable food, empty food carts, etc.)
- Unloads stock and non-stock items and assists other personnel as may be required.
Experience: Job related experience is desired.
Education: Less than high school.
Requirements: Valid Drivers License & Evidence of Insurability; Criminal Justice fingerprint/background clearance; Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
This is a 10 month School Year position only.
