POSITION OBJECTIVE: Incumbents are responsible for performing routine school nutrition activities such as processing documents related to Federal meal programs, food production, menus, and procurement. Incumbents prepare routine reports, perform routine nutritional calculations and data review. Acts as contact person for routine menu planning and procurement questions and inquiries.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require): High School Diploma, or G.E.D., completion of additional nutrition based coursework; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Prior basic school nutrition experience is preferred. Prior experience utilizing nutrient analysis software a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
