- Strategic Leadership : Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Data Governance : Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
- Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a global team of data management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, clinical operations, biostatistics, and statistical programming, to ensure data initiatives support business needs.
- Innovation : Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in data management practices.
- Performance Monitoring : Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data management initiatives.
- Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks associated with data management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Specific Responsibilities :
- Oversee Data Management Operations : Manage all aspects of data management, including resource planning, deliverables, staff training, and performance reviews.
- Develop SOPs : Create and enforce departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to company policies, federal guidelines, and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs).
- Budget Management : Forecast and manage the department budget for both external and internal expenditures.
- Quality Assurance : Collaborate with Quality and Clinical Compliance teams to ensure continuous process improvement within clinical trial data management.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Represent the Data Management function in project review meetings, quality review meetings, and other stakeholder engagements.
- Infrastructure Projects : Lead and provide oversight for the execution of departmental infrastructure projects.
- Regulatory Guidance : Guide data management activities for regulatory submissions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Organizational Strategy : Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the data management function.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience : Minimum of 15 years of experience in data management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
