Annual salary for this position is $65,000 with opportunities for quarterly incentives up to $8,000 annually.

Position Overview
The Admissions Counselor plays an important role in the delivery of treatment services to the clients ensuring both funding and clinical appropriateness. This position is responsible for assisting new clients through the admissions process ensuring that all clients receive services mandated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS). The Admissions Counselor is responsible for completing the intake, orientation and assessment for all incoming clients. This role also ensures that clients are able to obtain appropriate funding in order to complete recommended treatment services. Admissions Counselors must be able to maintain client confidentiality in accordance with state and federal guidelines and HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge And Experience Required For LADC
- Current LADC License
- Minimum of AA degree in related field
- Age 18 or older
- Demonstrated working knowledge in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental health, in an addiction treatment facility
- High degree of computer literacy including experience using an electronic health records (EHR) system
- Excellent written, communication, customer service, and case management skills
- Able to pass Minnesota DHS background study
- Possess maturity, patience, understanding and empathy with recovering individuals and work with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
- Physical Demands: Sitting for extended periods of time. Daily use of general office equipment. Lifting (max 10 pounds), minimal reaching, bending and stooping. Ability to effectively navigate program or office environment such as ascending and descending steps, passing through doorways and entrances, and accessing program/office facilities.
- Proficiently understand, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in English. Able to effectively document services in writing formatted in English.
- ADDITIONAL LICENSES: LP, LICSW, LMFT, LPCC
- Bachelor or Master degree in related field
- 4-6 years of related experience
- Skilled consultant and facilitator
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, investigation and mediation skills
