Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As a PACU nurse, you will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from anesthesia and ensuring their safety and comfort during the recovery process. Responsibilities
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition post-anesthesia.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage pain control.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding post-operative care.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transitions from surgery to recovery.
- Implement infection control standards to maintain a safe environment.
- Conduct assessments and document patient progress accurately.
- Support health coaching initiatives to promote patient wellness post-surgery.
- Manage catheter care and monitor for any complications.
Experience
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of Experience in PACU
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
