Responsibilities
Basic Purpose
Provides efficient, accurate, and timely computer processing and customer service in a multi-platform, 24X7 Datacenter environment. Performs intermediate level processing analysis related to effective utilization and administration of computer hardware/software based upon production application resource consumption behaviors. Capable of working with limited supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Monitors all batch and online processing across all platforms.
Interprets and responds to all system related messages.
Answers Help Desk phone calls utilizing a ticketing system.
Performs 1st level problem identification and resolution.
Assures correct processing and reasonable quality assurance scrutiny of production outputs.
Communicates with other departments in IT&T as well as business unit clients/management.
Flexibility to provide shift coverage for team members on personal time off.
Environmental monitoring and escalation for the Data Center
Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Essential Education, Skills, and Environment
Education and Work Experience
Associate’s degree in Information Technology from an accredited school plus 1-3 years of related experience. Candidates that do not possess an associate’s degree must have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated knowledge of:
Job scheduling software and help desk ticketing software.
Information systems applications, computer operations technologies/ processes/ methodologies, and supporting projects.
Skills such as:
Teamwork, interpersonal and communication. Work jointly with, other IT&T sections, business units, and vendors to develop plans and service levels.
Equipment and Applications
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
Compensation
$19.57 (Min) to $23.03 (Mid) per hour; Up to 5% Short Term Incentive Plan opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
