What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Development Engineer position at NV Medtech?
What you will do:
In this role, you will work with the R&D design team to provide process engineering support for the development of novel neurovascular medical devices. This position is primarily responsible for process design, development, and validation on the new product development team. Job responsibilities include:
- Lead and support the internal development and acquisition of process equipment.
- Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications.
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop the hand-skills and process knowledge to build development devices.
- Participate in design and process review meetings.
- Complete capability studies for in-process inspection and generate inspection documentation.
- Lead technicians as needed to build and test devices.
What you need:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment required.
- Knowledge, familiarity, and comfort working in a clean room environment.
- Familiarity with precision measurement tools.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Mechanical Fixture Design, and manual assembly preferred.
- Experience in a FDA regulated or highly regulated industry preferred.
- Proven track record of working in a team-based environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Innovative thinker; able to identify and implement new and better ways of doing things.
- Experience in executing complex problem-solving techniques related to manufacturing/design technical issues.
- Good instincts and sound judgement for electrical, mechanical and structural design.
