About the Position
We are seeking an experienced Chief Fire Protection Engineer to join our team at NV5 Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the integration and standardization of fire protection standards and processes across our BT - Planning and Design offices.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of fire protection standards and processes.
- Mentorship and training of technical staff.
- Collaboration with Group Leaders to optimize staff utilization.
- Participation in technical staff performance reviews.
- Quality control review process oversight.
- Definition and setting of engineering standards.
- Interface with other Chief Engineers to coordinate efforts.
- Design conceptualization on complex projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of twenty years of experience designing and managing projects independently or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong understanding of fire protection principles and codes.
- Professional Engineering Registration.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and client relationship skills.
- Previous people management experience.
