- Engineering Software Mastery - Utilize Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, Erikson Culverts, and MathCAD for design and analysis.
- Precision Engineering - Perform independent calculations for reinforced, prestressed concrete, and steel structures, creating and modifying structural models as needed.
- Project Documentation - Develop bridge plans, specifications, cost estimates, and material quantities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate & Innovate - Work with multidisciplinary teams, including CADD technicians, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve - Keep up with industry trends, tools, and techniques to drive innovation in bridge engineering.
- Engage & Present - Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, delivering solutions with confidence.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification is required.
- 2 years of engineering experience , specifically in designing bridge projects.
- Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials.
- Ability to independently and accurately complete engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures.
- Experience in developing bridge plans, coordinating markups with CADD technicians, assembling/writing specifications, and developing quantities and cost estimates.
- Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications, including MS Project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is preferred.
- Experience in bridge design on Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) projects is a plus.
- Load rating experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, Erikson Culverts, and MathCAD is a plus.
- Understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with timber and masonry design is a plus.
