Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation of US tax compliance and internal tax department staff to meet filing deadlines.
- Actively participate in the quarterly tax provision pursuant to ASC740 and tax related disclosures for the 10-K and 10-Q.
- Evaluates uncertain tax positions and prepares appropriate documentation to support company’s conclusions.
- Identify tax issues and devise global tax strategies to minimize risk.
- Actively participate in managing foreign entities’ tax compliance.
- Prepares management reports to assist the Director of Tax and senior management regarding the tax-related items.
- Works with the internal and external audit, as necessary.
- US Federal and state tax planning.
- Coordinates with outside service providers.
- Supports Finance personnel to minimize redundancy of efforts.
- Supports and actively participate to manage income tax audits and inquiries by governmental authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s in Taxation a plus.
- At least 7 years of experience in public accounting and corporate tax department.
- CPA preferred.
- Understanding of Federal and State tax issues.
- Understanding of tax issues related to mergers & acquisitions, global operations, and international taxes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Independent and self-driven with the ability to find solutions and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
