NV5 is looking to further expand our Architectural Group with the addition of an Entry/Junior Level Architectural Designer with 0-5 years of experience in Architectural Design and/or Construction Administration, in our Parsippany, NJ office. Depending upon your level, passion, and area of experience you may find yourself helping to produce a set of construction documents or providing support through the construction administration phase of a project working with our team of architectural professionals on our growing backlog of projects entering construction.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual familiar with the local NJ and NY Metro area capable of working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Typical projects include K-12 school restorations, community colleges, transportation maintenance facilities, Parks Department buildings and other corporate facility types.
Responsibilities
The Entry/Junior Level Architectural Designer will also assist in the development of construction documents, and construction administration phase services. This role represents a unique opportunity for career development and growth within a large and proven organization.
- Successful candidates should have knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit is a plus, and be detail oriented, have 0-5 years of experience working in architectural design and/or construction administration services.
- Experience with the design process and putting together a set of drawings for a project is beneficial.
- Experience in public sector work is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and writing skills are essential, as is general knowledge and interest in design, construction materials and building technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Architecture Degree or related field required,
- Minimum 0-5 years of architectural design/detailing and/or construction phase services experience,
- Knowledge of construction drawing standards,
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite,
- Excellent communication and writing skills,
- Attention to detail and highly organized,
- Self-starter, able to work independently and able to multi-task,
- Familiarity with building codes preferred,
- NYC School Construction Authority or related experience a plus,

The pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
