NV5, Inc. is seeking a qualified Civil Plan Check Engineer, Part Time As Needed, with a minimum of ten years of experience in projects to perform plan review of private development engineering documents for adherence to local municipal ordinances and other public standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform review of civil engineering documents to verify compliance will applicable codes, laws, ordinances, regulations and standards.
- Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and public clients through participation in periodic project meetings and scheduled on-site visits.
- Compile plan review corrections needed in a clear manner and be able to discuss, explain and answer client questions in writing and orally.
- Occasional project site visits may be required.
- Attend project meetings via teleconference as required.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education/Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university, and ten (10) or more years of experience in engineering in design and plan checking.
- Must have a familiarity with public infrastructure standards and requirements for on-site project development.
- Must be able to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university, and ten (10) or more years of experience in engineering in civil design and plan checking.
The pay range for this California position is $60.00- $70.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
